Use this article to configure the Agent Sandbox controls that let supported Yarken AI workflows execute code and generate documents.
What Agent Sandbox does
Agent Sandbox provides an isolated execution environment for supported agent tools. It enables capabilities that need to process staged data, run analysis, or generate documents outside the AI conversation itself.
Agent Sandbox settings control whether Yarken can use a sandbox provider that has already been configured for your deployment. The settings do not create or provision the provider.
Before you begin
You need:

Admin access to Yarken.

A sandbox provider configured for your deployment.
If no sandbox provider is configured, enabling the Agent Sandbox settings has no effect.
Open Agent Sandbox settings

Go to Admin.

Select Settings.

Under AI, select Agent Sandbox.

The master switch for sandbox access across the deployment. When disabled, Ask Yarken and Automations cannot use the sandbox, regardless of their individual settings. |

Allow Ask Yarken to use the sandbox |
Makes supported sandbox tools available to Ask Yarken, including analysis, staged datasets, and document generation such as PDF and PowerPoint export. Ask Yarken continues to work without these tools when the setting is disabled. |

Allow automations to use the sandbox |
Lets scheduled Automations use the sandbox to generate formatted report attachments. Supported outputs can be attached as PDF or PowerPoint files. |
The master setting takes precedence over the two individual settings.
Enable Agent Sandbox for Ask Yarken

Set Enable Agent Sandbox to Enabled.

Set Allow Ask Yarken to use the sandbox to Enabled.

Open Ask Yarken and generate the report or analysis you need.

Ask Yarken to export the generated report as a PDF.
The PDF is created through the sandbox and returned as a generated document.
PDF export currently works best when the report uses a white background. A report with another background color may show a white border around the exported page.
Enable Agent Sandbox for Automations

Set Enable Agent Sandbox to Enabled.

Set Allow automations to use the sandbox to Enabled.

Configure the scheduled Automation and its report output.

Run or schedule the Automation.
When sandbox access is enabled, supported Automation outputs can be attached as PDF or PowerPoint files. When it is disabled, the Automation still runs and the notification is still sent, but the generated document remains attached in its original format.
