Billing Account Spend (Cloud Overview)

The Billing Account Spend report provides a detailed view of cloud billed costs for a selected billing account. It helps you analyze how cloud spend is trending over time, compare it against prior-year performance, and understand cost distribution across sub-accounts and regions.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Billing Accounts chart in the Cloud Overview dashboard and is scoped to a selected billing account.

KPIs

Spend (YTD)

Total cloud billed cost for the selected year to date.

Prior Year Spend

Total cloud billed cost for the prior year

Variance

Difference between current year-to-date cloud spend and prior year spend for the same period.

Potential Savings

Expected cost savings that could be achieved by following the recommendations.

Realized Savings

Actual cost savings achieved by implementing the recommendations.

Monthly Spend

This chart shows the month-on-month and the cumulative year to date cloud billed costs. Cloud billed cost is shown as total spend and prior year cloud spend for each month. The cumulative dotted line predicts cost for future months based on historic cloud billed cost.

Sub Accounts

The Sub Account chart shows a breakdown of cloud billed costs by all the sub accounts. The cloud billed costs for each sub accounts is shown as cloud billed costs YTD and prior year YTD. The sub accounts are shown with name and billing account ID.

Top 20 Regions

The Top 20 Regions chart highlights the regions with the highest cloud billed costs, ranked from highest to lowest. For each region, the chart shows spend YTD, prior year spend YTD, and spend variance.

Billing Account Spend Details

The Billing Account Spend Details table provides a detailed breakdown of cloud billed costs for the selected billing account. It includes region, resource name, billed cost, prior year billed cost, and variance.
