Planning

Yarken Planning is a budget management tool that can be used by budget owners to create budgets and streamline the budgeting workflow.

With YäRKEN Planning you can:

  • Create a budget for a specific fiscal year.

  • Allocate the budgets to different cost centers, accounts, or vendors.

  • Add month-wise expenditure.

  • Update budget allocations as needed.

  • Comment on individual budget items.

  • Assign budgets to different cost centers.

  • Submit budgets for approval based on organizational workflows.

Note: The items you have access to in the Planning menu will depend on your role.

Roles in Budget Planning

The budget planning process involves multiple roles, each with distinct responsibilities to enable effective budget management. The important roles are:

  1. Budget Process Owner

  • Creates and defines the budget for a particular year.

  • Assign the budgets to different cost center owners.

  • Edit and approve the budget line items.

  • Ensures the budget aligns with organization workflows.


  1. Budget Contributor

  • Add and updates line items in the assigned cost center budgets.

  • Reset or delete the budget items.

  • Submit the budget for approval.

Note: Depending on your organization workflow, the Budget Contributor may or may not be a Cost Center Owner.
