The Yarken Home page is the entry point for your organization’s IT and financial data. Use the charts to get a quick overview of your spend, then explore further by navigating through the available links.

All metrics and visualizations reflect the current financial year configured in the application. The monthly data shown corresponds to the most recent period for which spend has been loaded.

Use the Expense Type and Entity filters to refine the view and focus on specific segments of your data.


KPIs

Year to Date

Total spend accumulated in the current financial year

Current Month

Spend for the current month

Current Month refers to the latest month with available spend data in the current financial year, not the calendar or financial month. For example, if data is loaded up to November, November is treated as the current month.

End of Year Predicted

Projected total spend for the full financial year based on current trends.

Potential Savings (As Of)

Expected cost savings that could be achieved in the current financial year by following the recommendations.

Realized Savings (Till Date)

Actual cost savings achieved by implementing the recommendations.


How is your spend distributed?

This section shows how your total spend flows across the spend model:

Spend Model

The Spend Model uses a Sankey-style flow to visually show how spend moves through your TBM structure.

Hover over any section to view detailed values.

Spend by Expense Type

Shows how spend for the current month (latest available spend month) is distributed across expense categories:

  • OpEx (Operational expenditure)

  • CapEx (Capital expenditure)


How is your spend trending?

Monthly Spend

This chart shows the monthly spend compared to budget and forecast, along with cumulative year-to-date trends. The cumulative dotted spend lines predicts YTD spend and budget for future months based on historic trend.

Top Cost Pool Budget Variance

The Top Cost Pool Budget Variance chart highlights the cost pool with the highest variance compared to budget for the current month. The chart also shows the monthly spend history for that cost pool, allowing you to understand how the trend has evolved over time.

Top Tower Budget Variance

The Top Tower Budget Variance chart highlights the tower with the highest variance compared to budget for the current month. The chart also shows the monthly spend history for that tower, allowing you to understand how the trend has evolved over time.

Labor Trend

The Labor Trend chart shows how labor spend is evolving over time across internal, external, and consulting categories.

Contracted Spend Trend

The Contracted Spend Trend chart displays monthly spend distribution between contracted and non-contracted categories.


What is the source of your spend?

This section helps you understand how your total IT spend is distributed across cost pools, labor, and vendors for the current month.

Total IT Spend

The Total IT Spend chart shows the total IT spend for the current month, along with a breakdown across major cost pools such as Services, Labor, Software, Hardware, and Others. It helps you understand how your overall spend is distributed and identify the primary cost drivers for the month.

Labor

The Labor chart shows the total labor spend for the current month, along with a breakdown by Internal Labor, Consulting, and External Labor.

Vendor Spend

The Vendor Spend chart shows the total vendor spend for the current month, along with a breakdown of the top vendors by spend. It helps you identify key vendors contributing to your overall costs


What are you spending on cloud services? 

This section helps you to monitor your spend on cloud services. By using this, you can gain insights into the spend associated with various cloud services.

Cloud Vendor Spend

The Cloud Vendor Spend chart shows how your total cloud spend for the current month is distributed across different cloud service providers such as AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud.

Cloud as a Percentage of Total IT Spend

The Cloud as a Percentage of Total IT Spend chart shows how much of your total IT spend is attributed to cloud services. It compares cloud spend, including cloud service providers and other cloud-related costs, against overall IT spend to provide a clear view of your cloud adoption.


What are your top applications?

This section helps you track your current month spend on the most-used cloud and non-cloud applications.

Application Spend

This chart shows the top five applications by spend, highlighting their individual and combined spend amount.

Cloud Application Spend

This chart shows the top five cloud applications by spend, highlighting their individual and combined spend amount. The cloud application spend is calculated using the Application tower and Cloud sub tower.


Who is consuming your services?

This section is used to track the current month spend from the solution offering and consumers.

Solution Offering Spend

The Solution Offering Spend chart shows the top five solution offerings by spend. It also provides the spend amount for the individual solution offerings.

Consumer Spend

This chart shows the top five consumers by spend. It also provides the spend amount for the individual consumer.
