Labor Overview

The Labor Overview dashboard provides a consolidated view of IT labor spend, covering internal labor, external labor, and consulting costs. It helps you understand how labor spend evolves over time, where it is sourced from, and which vendors are driving costs.

This dashboard shows a breakdown of internal and external labor spend by month, as well as external and consulting spend broken down by vendor.

What questions does this dashboard answer?

• What is my total labor spend year-to-date?

• How is my internal and external labor spend trending over time?

• Which vendors are contributing the most to my labor spend?

Key benefits

This dashboard can be used as part of monthly business reporting, financial, and variance analysis.  It provides the high-level detail needed to spot anomalies and the drill-down capability to analyze underlying detail to support investigation of anomalies.

Monthly Internal Labor Spend

The Monthly Internal Labor chart shows the cumulative year-to-date internal labor spend by month. Click on any month column to drill further into the internal labor spend for the month.

Monthly External Labor Spend

The Monthly External Labor chart shows the cumulative year-to-date external labor spend by month. Click on any month column to drill further into the external labor spend for the month.

External Labor

The External Labor chart shows the breaks down of external labor spend by vendor. Click on any vendor column to drill further into the external labor spend for the vendor.

Consulting Vendor Spend

The Consulting Vendor Spend chart shows year-to-date consulting spend by vendor, limited to Consulting sub cost pool and Outside Services cost pool. Click on any consulting vendor column to drill further into the spend for the vendor.
