The Cost Pool Prior Year RAG Status report provides a visual breakdown of RAG (Red, Amber, Green) statuses by Sub Cost Pool based on Actual Spend YTD vs Prior Year YTD comparisons. This dashboard gives you a quick health check of Cost Pool performance by highlighting how current spending compares against the previous year’s spend patterns.
The report is designed to help users rapidly identify Cost Pools and Sub Cost Pools that have significantly increased, decreased, or remained stable compared to the prior year.
Understanding the RAG indicators
The dashboard uses RAG status indicators to visually represent year-over-year spend variance health:

Green — Spend is favourable or below prior year thresholds

Amber — Spend variance is moderate and may require monitoring

Red — Spend variance is significantly above prior year thresholds and requires attention
These indicators help users quickly identify Cost Pools with abnormal spending behaviour without needing to review detailed financial reports.
