Cost Center Budget

Cost Center Budget is a cost center owner's central point to work with budgets that are in the planning process. Only users with the Cost Centre Budget Owner role have access to this page.

Cost Centre Budget Owner will have access to inflight budgets for their respective cost centre.

Pre-requisite: Cost Center Owners require access to Cost Centres

Cost Centre Owners are configured by the Admin user. Refer to Cost Center Access for instruction on how to give access to Cost Centre Owners.

Cost Center Budget Owners can work closely with the Budget Process Owner to finalize the budget for a cost center by working on a single source of truth copy of the budget and using the commenting feature to keep each other informed.

Review and Edit a Budget

When a budget has been assigned to you, you can access this from the Planning > Cost Centre Budgets & Forecasts menu. Here you can see the budget items which the Budget Process Owner has assigned to you for review. Click on the budget name to review all items within that budget.

Here you can view details for each budget item. To view the monthly breakdown, toggle the Show Detailed View button. For each budget item, you can add a comment, edit or delete the item. Comments can be read by the Budget Process Owner and anyone who has access to your cost centre budget. You can add or remove LPI and CPI Variables in the edit.

You can also add new budget items manually.

Load an Empty Budget

A Budget Process Owner can also give an empty budget to a cost centre owner to create a budget. Cost center owners can add budget items manually by importing budget files or creating budget Items manually.

Submit a Budget

When you are satisfied with the budget, click the Submit button under three dots menu to send back to the Budget Process Owner for their final approval.
