Service Category Spend (Cloud Services)

The Service Category Spend report provides a detailed view of cloud billed costs for a selected service category. It helps you understand how service spend is distributed across months, billing accounts, sub accounts, and regions for that category.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Services Categories chart in the Cloud Services dashboard and is scoped to a selected service category.

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Monthly Spend

This chart shows the month-on-month and the cumulative year to date cloud billed costs. Cloud billed cost is shown as total spend and prior year cloud spend for each month. The cumulative dotted line predicts cost for future months based on historic cloud billed cost.

Billing Accounts

The Billing Accounts chart shows a breakdown of cloud billed costs by billing accounts. The cloud billed costs for each billing account is shown as spend YTD and prior year YTD. The billing accounts are shown with name and billing account ID.

Top 20 Regions

The Top 20 Regions chart highlights the regions with the highest cloud billed costs, ranked from highest to lowest. For each region, the chart shows spend YTD, prior year spend YTD, and spend variance.

Sub Accounts

The Sub Account chart shows a breakdown of cloud billed costs by all the sub accounts. The cloud billed costs for each sub accounts is shown as cloud billed costs YTD and prior year YTD. The sub accounts are shown with name and billing account ID.

Cloud Service Category Spend Details

The Cloud Service Category Spend Details table provides a detailed monthly breakdown of cloud billed costs for the selected service category. It includes billed cost, prior year billed cost, and variance for each month.

Click on any row to drill into the transaction level spend for the service category.
