Use this article to understand how forecast accuracy changes over time across teams or for a selected team.
The Accuracy Trend dashboard helps you review whether forecasts are becoming more accurate or less accurate through the financial year. It combines a monthly spend chart with a deviation view so you can compare total movement and accuracy together.
By default, the dashboard shows all teams for the selected financial year. You can apply a team filter to focus on one team.
Monthly Spend
Monthly Spend shows the month-by-month relationship between forecasted spend, actual spend, and prior year spend.
Use this section to:
-
Compare forecasted and actual spend across the financial year.
-
See whether actual spend is moving ahead of or behind forecast.
-
Add context with prior year spend when reviewing seasonality or recurring patterns.
The dotted or future-oriented forecast view helps show expected values for months where actual spend is not yet loaded.
Hover over a month to review the values shown for that point.
Deviation RAG Status
Deviation RAG Status shows the percentage deviation across months using the configured RAG thresholds.
Use this section to:
-
Monitor whether forecast accuracy is improving or declining across time.
-
Compare team performance month by month.
-
Identify months that fall outside expected tolerance.
This section is especially useful when the Monthly Spend chart shows a visible gap and you want to confirm whether that gap is within the accepted threshold.
How to interpret the page
A typical review pattern is:
-
Start with Monthly Spend to identify where forecast and actual values begin to separate.
-
Check Deviation RAG Status for the same months to confirm whether the difference is low, medium, or high.
-
Apply a team filter if you want to isolate one team’s accuracy trend.
