Use this article to understand how forecast and actual spend are trending through the financial year and how YTD movement is building over time.
The Forecast Trend dashboard helps you review directional movement rather than month-level accuracy alone. It combines summary values, a predicted trend chart, and a detailed monthly trend table so you can understand both the shape of the trend and the month-by-month numbers behind it.
By default, the dashboard shows all teams for the selected financial year. You can apply filters to focus on a specific team.
Monthly Trend – Predicted
Monthly Trend – Predicted shows month-by-month spend together with a cumulative year-to-date view.
Use this section to:
-
Compare actual monthly spend with forecasted monthly spend.
-
See how actual YTD is building through the year.
-
Review the predicted direction of future YTD movement.
This chart is useful when you want to understand whether the year is trending toward a higher or lower actual outcome than expected.
The predicted line uses the available pattern in loaded spend to project how the YTD position may continue in future months.
Monthly Trend
Monthly Trend provides the detailed month-level values behind the trend view.
Use this section to review:
-
Forecast amount by month.
-
Actual amount by month.
-
Variance by month.
-
Additional forecast-related columns shown in the table.
This table is useful when the chart suggests a trend change and you need the supporting numbers for a review or discussion.
You can also use the search and table controls to focus on specific months or narrow the visible results.
How to interpret the page

-
