Audit Logs

The Audit Logs page provides a detailed record of changes and activities performed within the YäRKEN application. It helps administrators and auditors track who did what, and when, supporting transparency, troubleshooting, and compliance.

Use Audit Logs to monitor configuration changes, data operations, and user activity across the system.

What Audit Logs capture

Audit Logs record system and user actions such as:

  • User login and authentication events

  • File uploads and downloads

  • Creation, update, or deletion of users

  • Rule creation, modification, or deletion

  • Cube refresh activity

  • Other administrative or data-related actions

Each log entry includes:

  • Timestamp — when the action occurred

  • Message — a description of the action

  • Created By — the user who performed the action

Accessing Audit Logs

  1. Sign in to the application with appropriate access.

  2. Navigate to Admin > Audit Logs.

  3. The Audit Logs screen displays all recorded activities for the current view.

You can narrow down audit records using filters or keyword search.

Available filters

  • Timestamp

  • Message

  • Created By

Use Add Filter to apply one or more filters.

  • Use the search box to perform free-text searches using keywords.

  • This is useful for finding specific users, actions, or entities.

Data retention

Audit Logs retain activity records for the last 30 days. Older records are automatically removed from the view.

Audit Logs vs. Background Processes

  • Audit Logs focus on user and system actions (who performed an action and what was done).

  • Background Processes focus on execution status of long-running jobs such as uploads or refreshes.

Use both together for complete operational visibility.

When to use Audit Logs

Use Audit Logs when you need to:

  • Track user actions for compliance or audits

  • Confirm whether an action was performed and by whom

  • Troubleshoot unexpected system behavior
