Monthly Cloud Resource Spend

The Monthly Spend report provides a detailed view of cloud billed cost for a selected month. It allows you to analyze spend and review how cloud costs are distributed across regions, providers, billing accounts, and individual resources.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Monthly Spend chart in the Cloud Resources dashboard and is scoped to a selected month.

KPIs

Spend (YTD)

Total cloud billed cost for the selected year to date.

Prior Year Spend

Total cloud billed cost for the prior year.

Variance

Difference between current year-to-date cloud spend and prior year spend for the same period.

Potential Savings

Expected cost savings that could be achieved by following the recommendations.

Realized Savings

Actual cost savings achieved by implementing the recommendations.

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Regions

The Regions chart displays cloud billed costs by region, ordered from highest to lowest spend. For each region, the chart shows cloud billed cost YTD, prior year cloud billed cost YTD, and the variance.

Providers

The Providers chart breaks down cloud billed costs by provider and shows each provider’s share of total cloud spend. The total cloud billed cost is displayed at the center of the chart.

Billing Accounts

The Billing Accounts chart shows a breakdown of cloud billed costs by billing accounts. The cloud billed costs for each billing account is shown as spend YTD and prior year YTD. The billing accounts are shown with name and billing account ID.

Top 20 Resources

The Top 20 Resources chart highlights the top 20 resources by cloud billed cost from most to least cloud billed cost. Cloud billed cost for each resources is shown as cloud billed cost YTD, Prior Year cloud billed cost YTD and cloud billed cost Variance.

This chart shows the monthly cloud billed cost trend for the filtered month. The cloud cost is shown as billed cost, prior year billed cost and variance for each month.
