Billing Account Spend

The Billing Account Spend report provides a detailed view of cloud billed cost, effective cost, and list cost for a selected billing account. It shows how commitments are applied over time and how they contribute to overall spend and coverage for the billing account.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Billing Accounts chart in the Commitment Overview dashboard and is scoped to a selected billing account.

KPIs

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Monthly Spend

The Monthly Spend chart compares monthly cloud billed cost, effective cost, and list cost for the given filtered criteria. The columns are segmented by commitment discount category to show how commitments contribute to the monthly spend.

Click on any spend column to drill into a specific month and view a detailed breakdown of cloud billed costs for that period.

Commitment Coverage (%)

The Commitment Coverage (%) chart shows the percentage of monthly spend covered by commitments for the selected billing account.

Click on any month to view the commitment coverage details for that month.

Commitment Discount Categories

The Commitment Discount Categories chart shows billed cost broken down by commitment discount category for the selected billing account.

Click on any discount category to drill into the related GL transactions.

Commitment Discount Types

The Commitment Discount Types chart displays billed cost by commitment discount type.

Click on any discount type to drill into the related GL transactions.
