The Monthly Spend report provides a detailed view of cloud billed cost, effective cost, and list cost for a selected month. It breaks down how commitment discounts are applied and how they impact actual spend across commitment categories, discount names, charge categories, and discount types.
This report is accessed by drilling down from the Monthly Spend or Commitment Coverage (%) chart in the Commitment Overview dashboard and is scoped to a selected month.

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.
Commitment Discount Categories
The Commitment Discount Categories chart compares billed cost, effective cost, and list cost by commitment discount category (such as Spend and Usage) for the selected month.
Click on any category to drill into the related GL transactions.
Commitment Discount Name
The Commitment Discount Name chart shows billed, effective, and list costs broken down by individual commitment discount names.
Click on any discount to drill into the related GL transactions.
Charge Categories
The Charge Categories chart compares billed, effective, and list costs by charge category for the selected month.
Click on any category to drill into the related GL transactions.
Commitment Discount Types
The Commitment Discount Types chart displays billed, effective, and list costs by commitment discount type.
Click on any discount type to drill into the related GL transactions.
