Commitment Discount Category Spend

The Commitment Discount Category Spend report provides a detailed view of cloud billed cost, effective cost, and list cost for a selected commitment discount category. It helps analyze how that category contributes to overall commitment coverage and spend over time.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Commitment Discount Categories chart in the Commitment Overview dashboard and is scoped to a selected commitment discount category.

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Monthly Spend

The Monthly Spend chart compares monthly cloud billed cost, effective cost, and list cost for the given filtered criteria. The columns are segmented by commitment discount category to show how commitments contribute to the monthly spend.

Click on any spend column to drill into a specific month and view a detailed breakdown of cloud billed costs for that period.

Commitment Coverage (%)

The Commitment Coverage (%) chart shows the monthly commitment coverage trend for the selected commitment discount category.

Click on any month to view the commitment coverage details for that month.

Billing Accounts

The Billing Accounts chart shows billed cost for the selected commitment discount category, broken down by billing account.

Click on any account to drill into the related GL transactions.

Commitment Discount Types

The Commitment Discount Types chart shows billed cost for the selected commitment discount category, broken down by commitment discount type.

Click on any discount type to drill into the related GL transactions.
