Yarken’s Reporting Cube - Functionality
Overview
The Yarken Analytics screen is split into the following areas:

Fields - Data Sources

Visualization - Setting on how to display the results i.e.: Table Type, Column Order, Sorting, Totals

Filters - Setting to filter the data set

Results - The output of the query
-
Saved Reports - Save and share favourite queries
Fields
Drag 'n Drop Fields from this section into the Visualisation or filter space to determine the data source of your report. There are two categories of fields to choose from

Dimensions & Dates: Can be used as columns or rows and define what the report is reporting on

Values: Are the measure of a report and can only be used as values
Note: There a UI clues on which field can be placed where
Visualization
This section is used to customize the look and feel of your report. For now you can choose between Data Tables and Pivot tables.
Data table: A table view which shows all fields added as new columns.
Pivot Table: Allows you to place fields in rows or columns to customise your reporting.
In addition to the output format you can

enable row and column totals

Sort the output by dragging in any of the fields and selecting the sort order

Order the column and rows

Filters
Any of the fields can be dragged into the filter panel. The filters can be configured using standard filter options like equals, greater, not null etc
Results
The results section is a real time pane that shows the result of your current query. it updates as you customize the data source, visualisation or filter criteria.
Saved Reports
Saving and Sharing Reports
Once you have created a report you can save the view, with an option of sharing with the team or keeping it private
Open a previously saved Report
Any saved reports (either your own or created by others and shared with the team) will be available here.
Export a Report
This option exports the current results to Excel.
