Multi Cube

Overview

Multi Cube Analytics is an advanced Analytics capability in Yarken that enables users to create reports and dashboards using data from multiple analytics cubes within a single view. Instead of being limited to a single dataset, users can combine dimensions and measures from different cubes to generate richer, more comprehensive insights.

Yarken uses cubes as pre-aggregated datasets optimized for high-performance analytics and reporting. Each cube is designed around a specific business domain such as Spend, Asset TCO, Budget Planning, Chargeback, Consumer, Cloud Consumption, or License Usage.

Multi Cube Analytics dynamically combines data from multiple cubes at query time, allowing users to perform cross-domain analysis without requiring a manually consolidated dataset.

Current supported cubes

Multi Cube Analytics currently supports:

  • Employee assets

  • Project assets

Additional cube combinations may be added in future releases based on configuration and platform support.

Key capabilities

With Multi Cube Analytics, users can:

  • Combine fields from multiple cubes in a single report

  • Create cross-domain analytical reports

  • Build advanced visualizations using related datasets

  • Analyze relationships between operational, financial, and usage data

  • Reduce manual data exports and offline data preparation

How Multi Cube works

Multi Cube Analytics combines data using shared business identifiers between cubes. These shared fields are used to establish relationships during query execution.

Common join fields include:

  • Employee ID

  • Employee Name

  • Email

  • Project ID

  • Cost Centre

  • Department

  • Asset ID

At runtime, the Analytics engine retrieves and joins the required data from the selected cubes and presents the results as a unified dataset within the visualization.

Multi Cube configuration

Multi Cube functionality is configured by administrators through the platform settings.

Administrators can:

  • Manage Multi Cube configuration

  • Configure supported cube relationships

  • Define shared join fields between cubes

  • Control which cubes are available for Analytics users

Only configured cube relationships will be available for report creation.
