Use this article to manage the main AI settings that shape how Ask Yarken behaves in your Yarken environment.
Ask Yarken settings

-
Enable Ask Yarken.
-
Organization context for Ask Yarken.

Organization context for Ask Yarken
Organization context is optional admin-written guidance that Ask Yarken applies when answering questions.
Use it to provide instance-wide business context such as:
-
Company goals.
-
Financial policies.
-
Reporting definitions.
-
Internal terminology.
-
Hierarchy naming guidance.
-
Currency preferences.
-
Answer style preferences.
-
Governance guardrails.
Keep the organization context short and operational. Do not use it as a long policy document.
Example:
Prioritize cost reduction opportunities tied to cloud, SaaS, and vendor consolidation. Treat committed spend as approved forecast plus active contract obligations. Use concise executive summaries and call out any assumptions.
Organization context helps Ask Yarken interpret wording and shape responses, but it does not override governed data, financial year settings, or tool-backed results.
Search lookup and ambiguous matches
Search lookup helps Ask Yarken resolve names from user questions to actual values in Yarken, such as vendors, applications, cost centers, accounts, and consumers.
The ambiguous matches setting controls what happens when multiple matches are found.
Use Prefer asking the user to clarify when precision matters more than speed.
Use Agent chooses best match when your organization prefers faster flow and accepts context-based matching.
Knowledge Base
In this settings area, Knowledge Base refers to the dimensions index used by Ask Yarken to resolve names in user questions.
It is not a user-facing document library.
The index helps Ask Yarken match terms such as vendor names, application names, project names, cost centers, accounts, teams, and consumers to the right values in your data.
Refresh the dimensions index
To refresh the dimensions index:
-
Go to Admin > Settings.
-
Under AI, select Knowledge Base.
-
In Dimensions Index, select Refresh.
Refresh the index when master data has changed, such as new vendors, renamed applications, new cost centers, or updated accounts.
Clear the dimensions index
To clear the dimensions index:
-
Go to Admin > Settings.
-
Under AI, select Knowledge Base.
-
In Dimensions Index, select Clear.
Use Clear only when the index needs to be reset. After clearing, Refresh the index so Ask Yarken can resolve names accurately again.
Copilots and Graph Explanation Copilot
In Yarken settings, Copilots mainly refers to the Graph Explanation Copilot.
This Copilot explains a dashboard chart or table using the widget title, description, data behind the visualization, and active filters.
It is different from Ask Yarken.
To manage Copilots:
-
Go to Admin > Settings.
-
Under AI, select Copilots.
-
Enable or disable Graph Explanation Copilot.
-
Add Graph Explanation Context if needed.
-
Save changes.
The widget author must also enable Copilot for a dashboard widget before users can use it on that chart.
