This document tells about how to manage Recommendations . This feature is designed to provide users with personalized recommendations on all the assets for cost savings directly within the application.

Managing Recommendations
Recommendations are used to identify potential asset level savings like application, server, data center, etc. With senior team approval, you can start realizing savings.
Recommendations in YäRKEN comprise the below attributes.

Only a user with the Admin privilege has access to manage the Recommendation data.
Recommendations can be accessed via the YäRKEN Designer under the Recommendations menu.

Adding Recommendations
Recommendations can be either manually added or uploaded using an Excel or CSV file.
Adding Recommendations Rule Manually
To add Recommendations manually, click on + ADD NEW button and enter the details. The details of each of the attributes can be found in the YäRKEN data dictionary document or YäRKEN online help.
Select the Asset Type to get Asset Code list and also Cloud Resource Id is optional.
Uploading Recommendations
To upload a file with one or more Recommendations, click on ^ UPLOAD button
Choose browse to pick a file or drag and drop a file on the Cloud icon.
View Recommendations
Click on “Recommendations” menu in YäRKEN Designer to view all available Recommendations.
Dismiss Recommendations
To dismiss an Recommendation click on the dismiss button (
After dismissing a Recommendation, the status will be updated as “Dismissed” and delete button will appear , moreover reports based on this dismissed Recommendation will not be available to view.
If you want to undo dismiss , just change the status field in the edit Recommendation screen to other than dismissed.
Modifying Recommendations
To modify an Recommendation use the Edit or Delete option against each Recommendation.
Edit will open a popup with the existing values for the chosen record, which can be changed and saved.
Delete will remove the corresponding record after confirmation.
Deleting multiple Recommendations is also possible by selecting the Check Box against each Recommendation. Option to delete all or just the selected will be given and the Admin can choose the option as required.
Downloading Recommendations
List of all available Recommendations can be downloaded from three doted icon right beside the + ADD NEW button
