Cube refresh and best practices for Pipelines

Cube refresh

  • After a pipeline successfully completes data ingestion, the corresponding cubes must be refreshed to ensure the latest data is immediately available for dashboards and reports.

  • YäRKEN supports both manual and automatic Cube Refresh.

  • Manual refresh is recommended when reviewing newly ingested data. If no manual action is taken, YäRKEN performs an automatic cube refresh within 24 hours of the last data change.

Best practices

  • When using Automate feature to automate the file uploads using pipelines, use the recommended guidelines Automate | Recommended best practices for directory setup.

  • Maintain a consistent file schema and naming convention to ensure reliable file detection and mapping.

  • Use separate pipelines per data domain (for example, spend, budget, cloud consumption, tenant licensing , or individual license usage) to prevent data overlap.

  • Validate data mappings after the first pipeline run to confirm fields align correctly with YäRKEN’s data model.

  • Monitor pipeline logs and run history regularly to detect and resolve issues early.

  • Review pipeline status and execution results to ensure continuous and accurate data ingestion.
