On-Prem TCO

The On-Prem TCO dashboard provides an overview of spend associated with on-premises IT infrastructure. It helps you understand how on-premises costs are distributed across cost pools, towers, hosting platforms, vendors, applications, products, and services.

Scope

The On-Prem TCO dashboard includes:

• Spend from assets classified under On-Prem hosting types, as configured in Admin → Settings → Hosting Types

• Assets (Mainframes and Servers) linked to on-prem hosting platforms such as IBM Power, IBM iSeries, Unix, x86, and vSphere

Spend Model

The Spend Model uses a Sankey-style flow to visually show how spend moves through your TBM structure.

Hover over any section to view detailed values.

Monthly Spend

The Monthly Spend chart shows the month-on-month trend and the cumulative year to date spend. Spend is shown as total spend and prior year spend for each month. The cumulative dotted spend line predicts spend for future months based on historic spend.

Click on any spend column to drill into the month and see the spend broken down for the month.

Monthly Spend By Platform

This chart shows the monthly spend by the hosting platform on the On-Prem infrastructure.

Click on any hosting platform to drill further into the On-Prem Spend report.

On-Prem as a Percentage of Total IT Spend

The On-Prem as a Percentage of Total IT Spend chart shows the total On-Prem Spend as a percentage of total IT spend. The chart compares the total on-prem spend with the total IT spend and shows the value in terms of amount and percentage.

Cost Pools

The Cost Pool chart shows the cumulative Year to Date spend and Prior Year to Date on-prem spend broken down by Cost Pool.

Towers

The Tower chart shows the cumulative year to date and prior year on-prem spend broken down by Tower.

Applications

The Applications table shows applications that consume on-prem resources and are hosted on on-prem platforms. This view includes applications where the hosting platform is mapped to the Mainframe and Server asset type.

Products

The Products table shows products that consume on-prem resources and are hosted on on-prem platforms. This view includes products where the hosting platform is mapped to the Mainframe and Server asset type.

Services

The Services table shows services that consume on-prem resources and are hosted on on-prem platforms. This view includes services where the hosting platform is mapped to the Mainframe and Server asset type.
