Cloud Cost Pool Spend

The Cloud Cost Pool Spend report provides an overview of cloud spend for a given cost pool. This allows you to see a detailed breakdown of your cloud spend for a particular cost pool.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Cost Pools chart in the Cloud TCO dashboard and is scoped to a selected cost pool.

KPIs

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Spend Model

The Spend Model uses a Sankey-style flow to visually show how spend moves through your TBM structure.

Hover over any section to view detailed values.

Monthly Spend

This chart shows the monthly trend for month-on-month and cumulative year to date spend. Spend is shown as total spend and prior year spend for each month.

Click on any month column to drill into the transaction level spend for the month.

Vendors

The Vendors chart shows a breakdown of spend by vendors for the given filter criteria.

Click on any vendor to drill into related GL transaction.

Cloud as a Percentage of Total IT Spend

The Cloud as a Percentage of Total IT Spend shows the total cloud spend as a percentage of total IT spend. Cloud spend in this chart is calculated using costs classified under the Cloud Service Provider sub cost pool.

Towers

This chart shows the cumulative year to date spend and prior year to date spend broken down by tower for the given filter criteria.

Click on any tower to drill down to the transaction level.

Cost Pool Spend Details

This chart shows the cost pool spend trend for month-on-month. Spend is shown as total spend, prior year spend and variance for each month for the filtered cost pool.

Click on any row to drill into the transaction level spend for the month.

Applications

The Applications table shows applications that consume cloud resources and are hosted on cloud platforms. This view includes applications where the hosting platform is mapped to the Cloud asset type.

Products

The Products table shows products that consume cloud resources and are hosted on cloud platforms. This view includes products where the hosting platform is mapped to the Cloud asset type.

Services

The Services table shows services that consume cloud resources and are hosted on cloud platforms. This view includes services where the hosting platform is mapped to the Cloud asset type.
