Configure Notification Channels

Notification Channels allow YäRKEN to deliver alerts and Insights notifications to your preferred platforms, such as Microsoft Teams and Slack.

Prerequisite

Before configuring a Notification Channel, ensure you have:

• A Webhook URL for the target Microsoft Teams or Slack channel

For instructions on generating a Webhook URL, see Get Incoming Webhooks URL for Microsoft Teams and Slack.

Procedure:

To configure,

1. Navigate to Settings from Admin menu.

2. On the left pane, select Notification Channels.

3. Click + ADD NEW button.

4. Add the required details in the below fields:

   1. Channel Name: Specify a unique name for the notification channel.

   2. Description: Provide a brief summary of the purpose of the channel.

   3. Channel Type: Select the platform where the notifications will be sent.

   4. Webhook URL: Enter the Webhook URL for the selected platform. This URL is required to send messages to your chosen channel. Make sure to copy the URL from the respective platform's integration settings.

5. (Optional) Enabled: Turn this on or off to activate or deactivate the channel.

6. Click SAVE.

The notification channel is configured in the application. You may use this channel to send the alerts. Ensure the channel is enabled to start receiving alerts.
