Cost Center Application Spend

The Cost Center Application Spend report provides a detailed view of application spend for a selected cost center.

This report enables you to understand how a specific cost center’s application portfolio is performing financially and where spend is concentrated across hosting types, cost pools, towers, and individual applications.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Top 20 Cost Centers chart in the Application Portfolio dashboard and is scoped to a selected cost center.

KPIs

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Monthly Spend

This chart shows the monthly trend for month-on-month and cumulative year to date spend. Spend is shown as total spend and prior year spend for each month.

Click on any month column to drill into the transaction level spend for the month.

Monthly Hosting Spend

This chart shows a detailed breakdown of the monthly spend by hosting types for the filtered criteria. The hosting types include Cloud, Mainframe, SaaS, and Virtual.

Click on any month to drill into transaction level spend for the given hosting type.

Applications

This chart shows the cumulative YTD spend and prior year YTD spend broken down by application.

Click on any row to drill into transaction level spend for the application.

Cost Pools

The Cost Pools chart shows the cumulative year to date spend and prior year to date spend broken down by TBM Cost Pool.

Click on any cost pool column to drill into the related GL transactions.

Spend by Purpose

This table shows the application spend broken down by application purpose. Spend is shown as YTD spend and prior year YTD.

Click on any purpose to drill into the related GL transaction.

Towers

The Towers chart shows the cumulative year to date spend and prior year to date spend broken down by TBM Tower.

Cost Center Application Spend Details

The Cost Center Application Spend Details table shows the cost center spend trend for month-on-month. Spend is shown as YTD, prior year spend and variance for each month.

Click on any row to drill into the transaction level spend for the month.
