Tower Application Spend

The Tower Application Spend report provides a detailed breakdown of application spend for a selected technology tower. It enables users to analyze how application spend is distributed within a specific tower across months, hosting types, cost pools, sub-towers, cost centers, and application purposes.

This report is accessed by drilling down from the Towers chart in the Application Portfolio dashboard and is scoped to a selected tower.

KPIs

Charts and tables

Selecting any data point in a chart allows you to drill down into a more detailed view of the selected element.

Monthly Spend

This chart shows the monthly trend for month-on-month and cumulative year to date spend. Spend is shown as total spend and prior year spend for each month.

Click on any month column to drill into the transaction level spend for the month.

Monthly Hosting Spend

This chart shows a detailed breakdown of the monthly spend by hosting types for the filtered criteria. The hosting types include Cloud, Mainframe, SaaS, and Virtual.

Click on any month to drill into transaction level spend for the given hosting type.

Applications

This chart shows the cumulative YTD spend and prior year YTD spend broken down by application.

Click on any row to drill into transaction level spend for the application.

Sub Towers

This chart shows the cumulative year to date spend and prior year to date broken down by Sub Tower.

Click on any Sub Tower to drill into related GL transaction.

Cost Pools

The Cost Pools chart shows the cumulative year to date spend and prior year to date spend broken down by TBM Cost Pool.

Click on any cost pool column to drill into the related GL transactions.

Spend by Purpose

This table shows the application spend broken down by application purpose. Spend is shown as YTD spend and prior year YTD.

Click on any purpose to drill into the related GL transaction.

Top 20 Cost Centers

This chart shows the cumulative YTD spend and prior year YTD spend broken down by cost centers.

Click on a cost centers to see a drill down to the transaction level.
