Notification Channels (Admin Settings)

Notification Channels define the communication integrations used by Yarken to distribute platform notifications, Insights alerts, operational updates, and workflow events.

Use Notification Channels to configure the delivery destinations that support email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams communication workflows across the platform.

Notification Channels work alongside Notification Channel Groups to standardize alert distribution and operational communication governance.


Access Notification Channels

To open Notification Channels:

  1. Navigate to Admin

  2. Select Settings

  3. Open Notification Channels

The Notification Channels page displays all configured communication integrations available in the environment.

Administrators can:

  • Create notification integrations

  • Configure communication destinations

  • Enable or disable channels

  • Import notification configurations

  • Export channel configuration data

  • Maintain operational communication workflows


Understand Notification Channels

A Notification Channel represents the actual communication destination or integration used by the platform.

Each channel contains:

  • Channel name

  • Description

  • Channel type

  • Integration configuration

  • Enabled status

  • Ownership information

Notification Channels are used by:

  • Notification Channel Groups

  • Insights workflows

  • Operational alerts

  • Reporting notifications

  • Governance workflows

  • AI-driven communication workflows


Supported notification types

The available notification types depend on platform configuration and enabled integrations.

Microsoft Teams Webhooks

Microsoft Teams webhook integrations allow Yarken to distribute notifications directly into Teams channels.

Use Teams integrations for:

  • Cross-functional collaboration

Teams webhook channels require a configured incoming webhook URL from Microsoft Teams.


Slack integrations

Slack notification channels route platform notifications into Slack workspaces or channels.

Slack integrations help teams:

  • Receive Insights alerts faster

  • Improve operational visibility

  • Monitor reporting workflows

  • Track governance activity

  • Centralize communication workflows

Slack channels must be configured before they can be assigned to Notification Channel Groups.


Email notifications

Email channels support direct notification delivery to configured recipients.

Email workflows are commonly used for:

  • Governance approvals

  • Operational updates


Create a Notification Channel

To create a new notification channel:

  1. Open Settings → Notification Channels

  2. Select Add New

  3. Enter the required information:

    • Name

    • Description

    • Channel Type

    • Integration or Destination Details

    • Enabled status

  4. Save the configuration

Once created, the channel becomes available for Notification Channel Groups and supported notification workflows.


Import and export notification channels

The Notification Channels page supports configuration import and export workflows.

Use import functionality to:
