What is asset mapping?
Asset mapping allows you to explicitly map spend from one asset to another using asset code. The mappings are file-based only and cannot be created manually.
An asset mapping:
-
Require explicit definition of from-asset and to-asset.
-
Use asset codes and defined portions for allocation.
Use Asset mapping when:
-
You are working with large volumes of records and want to directly map spend using asset codes.
-
You need direct mapping without adding multiple conditions to asset’s attributes.
